Puerto Princesa is a gateway -an easiest and comfortable way, if you are going to El Nido from Manila. This small city has one airport, Puerto Princesa International Airport.

Operations at the new terminal of the Puerto Princesa International Airport began on 4 May 2017. Before the inauguration, I’m using the old building, the small one and remind me of some airports in eastern Indonesia like Ende and Waingapu.

Department of Transportation Philippines said the new terminal has a floor area of 13.000 square meters with a seating capacity of 1.500 passangers and parking slots for more than 200 cars.

Its 2.600-meter runway and can accommodate bigger aircraft like an Airbus A330 which has a seating capacity of 400. There are 6 parking bays in the new terminal.

Around 20 flights are operating daily, to and from the following destinations:

Philippine Airlines: Manila, Clark, Taipei-Taoyuan
PAL Express: Manila, Cebu
Cebu Pacific: Manila, Cebu, Iloilo
AirAsia: Manila, Cebu, Davao
Air Juan: Busuanga, Cuyo
